Submitted by: John Talbot (j.talbot@bgs.ac.uk)
Date: Feb 20, 1998
Description: John's comments on this file:

This file contains a new set of constellation figures based upon those seen in D H Menzel's 1966 book A Field Guide to the Stars and Planets.

This is a book I learnt the constellations from when I was at school and I bought the book from the school library. A few of the figures are from H A Rey's book The Stars: A New Way to See Them e.g. Aquarius, Pegasus and I notice someone has already submitted H A Rey's fanciful figures! However the attached file introduces new versions of many of the southern constellations (some of which are fanciful e.g. Phoenix), recombines Argo Navis and has whole new figures for many other northern and southern constellations - in fact only a very few (<5) constellations were left as in your original file! Note, some faint constellations have no figures e.g. Caelum, Sextans etc.
