This privacy policy defines how Skymap Games uses and protects your information when you use our website. By using our website, you consent to this privacy policy. Should you provide any information by which you can be identified when using this website, it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Skymap Games may update this policy from time to time, changes to which can always be found here for your review.

What information do we collect?

We collect your e-mail address from you if you choose to register for our newsletter. We collect any information you may provide to us through the contact form, including your name and e-mail address. Aside from users who choose to voluntarily offer their information under this circumstance, no personally identifiable information is collected from any users of the site.

We also make use of Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect standard Internet log information, and information about visitor behavior, such as which pages within the Skymap Games domain a user visited, and for how long. This information is collected in an anonymous form, and as such collects no personally identifiable information about the user.

What do we use your personal information for?

Registering for our newsletter with your e-mail address allows us to distribute periodic correspondence with you about our projects. We promise never to abuse this correspondence, and at any time, you can unsubscribe and remove yourself from our e-mail list by clicking the “unsubscribe” button located at the bottom of any e-mail we have sent to you.

How do we protect your personal information?

Skymap Games is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we make use of only secure tools and procedures, to safeguard the information we collect from you.

How do we use cookies?

Google Analytics uses cookies – text files placed on your computer – to collect information about visits to our site. The information about how a visitor uses our website (including the IP address of the visitor) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate and analyse website use and to compile statistical reports about Skymap Games website activity. We use these reports to better assess how people are using our website, so we can make improvements to it. A cookie in no way gives us, or Google, access to your computer, or any personally identifiable information about you.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers accept them automatically, but browser settings can be modified to decline cookies if you prefer. Visitors who choose to decline cookies will still have full access to our website.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

Only members of Skymap Games involved in distributing the newsletter, or replying to contact form correspondence, will ever have access to the personal information you allow us to collect. We will never use your information other than for the intended purpose of its collection, that is, the distribution of the newsletter, or responding to messages sent through our contact form. Your personal information will never be sold, traded, or otherwise transferred to any outside parties, unless required by law.

Non-personally identifiable visitor information, collected by our use of Google Analytics, is distributed to Google for purposes of our statistical analysis only. We will not distribute that information or analysis in any other way, nor will Google distribute this data without consent, except under limited circumstances, such as when required by law. Please review the Google Analytics privacy policy for additional information.
